MEET COACH NICK KOEU

B.S KINESIOLOGY

Nick is a 2 x IFBB Pro Olympian and 2 x IFBB Pro Champion in Men’s Physique holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science minoring in Nutrition. He was born and raised in Southern California and has been a competitive athlete all his life. 

Since a young age he has been competing at the nation’s top levels, leading all the way up to the Division 1 collegiate level for USA Swimming and USA Water Polo. His formal education, years of experience with training, nutrition as well as his competitive prowess and accolades makes him a great fit to work with a vast array of individuals.

He works with a variety of clientele looking to make healthy lifestyle changes, to individuals desiring to compete in bodybuilding, even professional bodybuilders and physique competitors as well as top level performance athletes.

Nick made a transition into competitive bodybuilding after suffering a debilitating injury which made him unable to pursue his passion and dream of Olympic Water Polo. Through perseverance and many months of rehabilitation, Nick was able to become active again. This is where he found his passion and love for bodybuilding, health, training and nutrition. Through two years of consistent work as an amateur and a number of regional shows, Nick was able to attain professional status in the IFBB in his second national show appearance at NPC Universe in 2018. 

From competitors, to individuals seeking healthy lifestyle changes, Nick prides himself on his capability to work well with any individual across all walks of life.

If they possess the ambition and work ethic to make permanent positive changes in their lives, Nick prides himself on surely getting them to accomplish all that they have set out for themselves.

Through extensive one on one unique and personable coaching he helps establish and mentor individuals towards a mindset equipped towards definitively accomplishing their goals and to be successful in all other areas of their lives.

ATHLETE AND CLIENT EXPECTATIONS

All that I expect from any athlete or client is that you give me 100% EFFORT throughout our time working together.

Through time I expect our communication between coach and athlete to grow, this is a team effort between you and I and when communication improves, the process improves. This is a vital aspect and I don’t expect great communication to happen immediately but in the building of our dynamic this is one aspect at the forefront I want to ensure improves. This is fundamental in what will make us working together successful long term.

I have zero tolerance for lack of adherence to the plan and invalidated excuses deriving from lack of discipline and commitment. I am understanding of tragic unexpected life events or emergencies.

I expect that you uphold the utmost honesty and truth through out time working together. This ties directly to communication, I have zero tolerance for lying. There is absolutely nothing to hide from me, my sole objective is to help you learn and get better so there will no judgements of shortcomings and mistakes.

I don’t expect perfection, I expect that you challenge yourself to learn, adapt and apply yourself so you are not constantly repeating the same mistakes. This ensures you will improve and move forward.

I expect all check ins to be in by 11 am your local time the day of your check in. If you are not getting your update in until 11 am you are already setting yourself behind on having a productive and opportunistic day. I ask that you wake up promptly on your check-in days to give yourself adequate time to take your check in photos and thoroughly fill out your check in write up.

Please provide me thorough and in depth feedback on all aspects on your check in. I ask these specific questions so I can have a better understanding to how your week went and how you are responding to the implementations of the plan. The more in depth the better. I should not have the need to have to ask you similar questions that are on the check in already.

If you feel as if something is not right or is off or you are concerned about anything you need to reach out to me and inform me exactly as to what it is. I can not help if I don’t know the specifics.

It is completely your responsibility to check in with me weekly. This shows initiative, investment into the process and reciprocation of effort. Similar how its expected of you to show up to work at a certain time or show up to practice, this aligns with those same principles. I will always meet my clients in the middle, I will reciprocate your effort and dedication equally if not more, this I can assure you.

My hours of communication daily are from 9 am PST to 7 pm PST, unless the event is an emergency requiring my immediate attention. I will always respond within 24 hours.
